Salute To Home Foundation provides programs, support, and connections to essential resources designed to help veterans experiencing homelessness or housing instability move from crisis toward long-term stability and independence.

 

Emergency Housing Assistance 

Our Emergency Housing Assistance provides veterans experiencing a housing crisis with access and resources to immediate, safe, and temporary shelter options.

This short-term support ensures veterans have a secure place to stay as they work toward stable, permanent housing through our Housing Navigation and Supportive Services programs.

  • Hotel/Motel Vouchers for temporary stays when funding and eligibility requirements permit

  • Connections to Local Shelters for immediate support 

Veterans experiencing an immediate housing crisis are encouraged to contact us to determine eligibility and available resources.

 

Housing Navigation

Our Housing Navigation program helps veterans and their families navigate the path to stable, permanent housing. We provide individualized guidance to help veterans identify available housing resources, navigate housing systems, and complete the steps necessary to secure or maintain housing.

  • Housing Resource Navigation to identify appropriate housing options and available community resources

  • Referrals & Direct Connections to rental assistance programs, security deposit funds, and other housing resources 

  • Application & Paperwork Support to assist with housing applications, required documentation, and related processes

  • Utility Assistance when funding permits to help prevent service interruptions and support housing stability 

  • Direct Rental/Mortgage Assistance when funding permits to help eligible veterans secure or maintain stable housing 

Our Housing Navigation Program focuses on reducing barriers to stable housing with connecting veterans with additional Supportive Services when needed to promote long-term stability and independence.

 

Supportive Services

Our Supportive Services provide comprehensive, wrap-around assistance designed to help veterans build stability, independence, and long-term well-being. Through individualized support and connections to essential resources, we help veterans address barriers that may affect their housing stability and overall quality of life.

Our Supportive Services include:

  • Case Management: Individualized support to identify needs, establish goals, coordinate services, and connect veterans with appropriate resources

  • Healthcare Navigation: Guidance and connections to VA healthcare, community providers, and other appropriate healthcare resources

  • Transportation Assistance: Assistance addressing transportation needs that may create barriers to accessing essential services and resources 

  • Emergency Assistance: Limited assistance with urgent basic needs when eligibility requirements are met and funding permits

  • Employment Resources: Connections to employment, job training, resume assistance, and other workforce-development resources

  • Financial Planning Resources: Connections to budgeting, credit education, financial counseling, and other financial-wellness resources

  • Legal Resource Connections: Referral and connections to appropriate legal resources for issues such as housing, benefits, and other civil legal needs

Our goal is to provide veterans with individualized support while connecting them to the services and resources needed to overcome barriers, strengthen stability, and move toward greater independence.

Our Veteran Outreach Program connects veterans experiencing homelessness or housing instability with essential resources, services, and personalized support.

Through direct engagement within the community, we work to build trust, identify individual needs, and connect veterans with resources that can help them overcome barriers and move toward long term-stability.

Our Outreach Services Include:

  • Direct Community Outreach: Engaging veterans within the community and connecting them with available assistance

  • Personalized Support: Identifying individual needs and helping veterans determine appropriate next steps

  • Connections to Essential Resources: Linking veterans with housing, healthcare, benefits, food, transportation, and other community resources based on their individual needs

Through outreach and meaningful connections, we strive to reach veterans where they are and help create a pathway toward greater stability and independence.
