OUR STORY

We are a husband-and-wife team, deeply rooted in the veteran community, dedicated to making a meaningful impact. Tyler served 11 years on active duty in the Marine Corps, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges our service members face. Our mission began with a pivotal moment that transformed our lives.

One evening, we stumbled upon a Facebook post that resonated with us. A local veteran, just two months out of the service, was living in his car. He wasn’t asking for much—only a place to shower and reclaim his dignity. The reality of someone who had served our nation struggling to meet basic needs was both heartbreaking and unacceptable.

Inspired by his story, we reached out to our neighbors, uniting the community to offer support. Together, we raised enough funds to provide him with a safe hotel stay, warm meals, and essentials to help him start anew in an apartment. What began as a simple act of kindness evolved into a greater understanding that many veterans endure similar hardships in silence.

Through this experience, we recognized the struggles veterans face when navigating the bureaucratic red tape that often delays access to vital services like housing, healthcare, and employment support. While the system aims to assist, it frequently leaves veterans feeling frustrated, overlooked, and isolated. This moment ignited our mission: to build a network of support that ensures no veteran is left behind.

We established the Salute to Home Foundation with the conviction that, with a little help, compassion, and effort, we can empower veterans to transition from struggle to stability. Our mission is to provide not only immediate relief but also the resources, guidance, and support necessary for sustainable success. We believe every veteran deserves the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity, security, and hope.
